不登校、高校中退の救済を目指すサポーターの皆様
昨日は板橋区の不登校生の居場所、板橋フレンドセンターに区議会議員 中妻氏と視察しました。

数年前、こちらを見学した時より、かなり、不登校生徒の勉強や生活面を丁寧にサポートしている印象を持ちました。
昨年度,中学3年生22名中、21名が高校進学、一名は未定と進学実績も素晴らしく,東京都内の適応指導教室の中でもかなりの水準だろうと。
区議の中妻氏は児童相談所や「引きこもりってどうして起こると思いますか？」等について熱心に質問されておりました。
僕は「退化するんです」と。
皆さん「退化？！」
「万物は使わなくなると、退化します。不登校状態が長く続くと、外に出る積極性やら、コミニケーション能力も退化するんですよ」と。
教室を見学した時、一人、一人、間仕切りを施した＝（よく個別指導塾で見かけるレイアウト）は使用禁止になっておりました。「ここで、勉強させると、集団での勉強が出来なくなり、ここから出られなくなってしまうんです」と責任者。
すかさず、「退化するんですよね！」と。

フレンドセンターにて、担当者、指導室長、議員と懇談して、不登校の根本的な解決はやはり、
環境を変え、基礎学力を充実させる事だと改めて、確信しました。
